The model shown is an example of the MDF 24 hydrant in surface mount installation (SM) and brown powder-coated standard steel.  This hydrant is also available in stainless steel (SS).  The MDF 24 hydrant comes standard in direct bury installation with an attached valve box.  The hose bibb is 24 inches above grade.

The direct bury installation is designed to be buried 14 inches with the steel supports anchored in concrete.

Surface mount installation for the MDF 24 is available upon request.  The surface mount installation (SM) is designed to be anchored to a concrete pad with anchor bolts through a mounting plate that is welded to the hydrant. An optional 6" stainless steel surface carrier is recommended for all pedestal surface mount installations. Most Dependable Fountains recommends specifying the optional SS Bolt Kit 1 when not ordering the optional stainless steel surface carrier.
