VERSA-LOK ROLLS OUT NEW MOSETTE FREESTANDING WALL SYSTEM

VERSA-LOK Retaining Wall Systems has introduced Mosette, a new random-pattern freestanding wall system that gives landscape professionals a fresh array of
attractive design options. The Mosette system is designed to build freestanding walls up to 24 inches tall for use as borders along patios and walkways, or for perimeter seating around fire pits and courtyards. It also may be used as a lightweight retaining wall up to 18 inches tall.

“The Mosette system was inspired by the stately stone courtyards of European manors,” says Pat Estenson, VERSA-LOK national sales representative. “It’s the perfect choice for those customers who desire to add some elegance and definition to their landscape but don’t have a need for heavy-duty retaining walls.”

Mosette utilizes four versatile unit sizes—small, medium, large and vertical—to easily create a random appearance in both straight and curved arrangements. Split textures on each visible face and innovatively placed recesses give Mosette walls a natural stone look with variable relief between joints. Like other VERSA-LOK products, Mosette may be available in standard split-face and/or Weathered textures, depending on individual producers.

Small and medium Mosette units are square on one side and tapered on the other. Large units are tapered on both sides. Tapered sides allow curved as well as straight wall configurations. Vertical units are square on all edges so they can be positioned vertically within walls.

To install, Mosette units are simply stacked on a compacted granular base and secured using VERSA-LOK flexible concrete adhesive. To vary the appearance, Mosette units can be placed forward, backward, right-side-up or upside down. Alternate tapered sides to create straight wall sections and orient tapered sides in the same direction to create curves.

If desired, Mosette walls can be finished on top with VERSA-LOK cap units or other options.

Production of Mosette will expand throughout the United States in 2006.

“We’re excited about the Mosette line and the new possibilities it opens up in landscape design,” concludes Estenson.
