Extremely hard and heavy this exotic hardwood comes from South America. One of the few exotics that is not considered in any danger it’s a wonderful choice for wood countertops on many levels. A warm golden brown with rosy undertones jatoba is adaptable to most color schemes. Being a very hard species this wood is great for either food prep and chopping or for surfaces used primarily for serving. Jatoba makes a beautiful and extremely durable wood countertop.
