Project Overview

Deep in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains an new gaming destination was rising. Harrah's Casino was building a new casino and hotel near Murphy, NC. When finished, the facility will feature 60,000 square feet of gamin space and a 300-room hotel.

Project Details

The architects designed the structure using hollow core planks. While a popular method of construction because of fast building assembly and lower weight, it requires a self-leveling cement to be poured over the top that will provide a hard, durable and level surface for the substrate.

Solution

Our partner Cemplex Group, LLC Georgia selected AccuLevel G-40 for the project because of its performance and competitive price. In the end, 7 levels of the hotel and parts of the casino were poured with AccuLevel G40. This provided a high compressible strength, a smooth floor finish, and a price unmatched in the industry. AccuLevel G40 is a gypsum-based product provides economic solutions for large-scale projects, while keeping project estimations at a minimum to provide a more competitive edge.
