:: Manufacturer-Specific Building Product Information

Over the years, the company’s flagship product,, has become one of the building industry's most popular online destinations.  From windows and doors to light fixtures and ICF’s, helps design and construction professionals find, evaluate, and, most importantly, accurately specify, manufacturer-specific building products through its easy-to-search interface.

Through, architects, contractors and developers can easily access proprietary product information for hundreds of manufacturers. Digital brochures, catalogues, green information, CSI-format specifications, insert-able 2D-CAD details and 3D-BIM models, in a wide variety of formats, are all available for download, free of charge.  The site has an intelligent, built-in search engine that can locate company and product information both by CSI Master Format category as well as by a range of intuitive keywords.  The portal’s automated “Request a Quote” system even enables users to request printed materials, product clarifications – even a job quote – from one or multiple companies, with a click of the mouse.

The cornerstone of success has been their commitment to create the highest quality CAD content, including 2D application details and more recently, 3D models.  2D CAD content is presented on several different levels; a preview thumbnail, a large GIF image for viewing, a high quality PDF file for printing, and the application detail drawing itself for download and insertion into project documents. To support the widest variety of design professionals, the drawing is available in multiple CAD formats, including AutoCAD DWG, DWF, Vectorworks VWX and Microstation MCD.  Full scale 2D CAD drawings in both metric and imperial format are also available for instant download.

In the past 3 years, CADdetails has also emerged as the AEC industry leader in developing high quality 3D models.   Today, they build and house a rapidly expanding library of thousands of data-rich BIM objects.  These 3D components are available in DWG, Revit, SketchUp and 3D Studio formats and are all able to be downloaded from, free of charge.
