Known for its dynamic blend of retail, dining, office, and public gathering spaces, the district has become a longstanding community hub that attracts residents and visitors. Bethesda Row has recently undergone a redevelopment to infuse new life into the space while preserving the character and legacy of the destination, with upgrades made to building facades, signage, office entrances, and the paving.Various Unilock pavers were selected to revitalize key areas of Bethesda Row. At one intersection, designers combined Premier 4×12? pavers in Dark Charcoal, Premier 8×24? pavers in Light Grey, and the Premier Artline Platform in Steel Mountain. The interchanging plank sizes and grey tones add depth to the design while complementing the architectural character of the space. Manufactured with EnduraColor™ technology, Premier pavers offer long-lasting color and a refined surface appearance designed to withstand the demands of a busy commercial environment such as Bethesda Row.Elsewhere on the site, Unilock Arcana™ pavers introduce a playful design that energizes the space. Arcana 12 x 24? pavers in Corvara and 18 x 24? pavers in Vivanto were installed in a bold, striped pattern that reflects tones found within the surrounding building facades, helping tie together the hardscape and architecture. Finally, large-format Thermal slabs in Steel Mountain were selected for a public seating area within the redevelopment. Measuring 22½ x 32½”, these oversized slabs create an uninterrupted surface that creates a sense of openness and allows site furnishings to remain the focal point. With subtle texture and refined edge detailing, the Thermal finish evokes the look of natural stone while providing lasting performance in this high-traffic commercial setting.The result is a refreshed public space that seamlessly blends modern design with the distinct character of Bethesda Row. The redevelopment creates a welcoming environment that will continue to serve residents, visitors, and the surrounding community for decades.
