Lion's Paw Base 3 Legs
Lion's Paw Base 3 Legs
Carved stone table legs and bases are a comfortably elegant way to infuse your designs with Corinthian sophistication. The king of beasts, the lion once served as a symbol of a fallen hero, and as a guardian of temples, entrance gates, and public buildings. Handcrafted stone table legs and bases in the Lion’s Paw design are available with three or four leg configurations. Coordinating Lion’s Paw bench supports round out the collection. The three-legged lion’s paw table base finds its roots in ancient Greek design. The classical Greek tripod tables were often made with legs carved into animal legs, a design likely copied from the ancient Egyptians before them. Indeed, Grecian influence can be seen in the Greek key pattern displayed at the top of each leg. This delightfully unique piece is sure to catch eyes in a private home, hotel, or entertainment venue. With its distinctly Greek design, it has the appearance of a museum-quality artifact. Traditionally the tripod table was used for serving wine, and is the perfect choice for that same purpose in your dining or entertaining area.
