Antique European Cobblestone – Porphyry
Belgian porphyry is known for its course-grained texture and exceptional hardness, making it a popular choice for streets and plazas throughout Europe for centuries. This material has been used on the Champs Elysee, in Paris, Rome’s Pantheon, and several of New York City’s famous avenues. These cobbles reveal beautiful combinations of coloring: green-brown, brown-rust, blue-green, and blue-gray. They are usually available in both squares and rectangles, with a depth of either half-bed or thin (though full-bed is available by special order only).
Approximate Dimensions:
Rectangles: 5” x 8”
Squares: 6” x 6”
Thins: 1.5” thick
Half Bed: 3” thick
Full Bed: 6” thick
