Chimney Drains

Chimney Drains are designed to save installation time and labor costs without compromising structural drainage requirements-specifically for applications where full sheet drainage is not required or is not feasible. Chimney drains are typically installed at spaced intervals in vertical wall applications as a value engineering solution to relieve hydrostatic pressure or to enhance installation ease for applications with multiple weeps or detail requirements. Chimney drains are constructed with a solid, formed polymeric core that is fully wrapped with a nonwoven filter fabric. The fabric retains soil particles while allowing water to freely enter the flow channel from one side. Due to the fabric construction, contractors save time and money in installation labor. Chimney drains are available in two compressive strengths: 9,000 or 18,000 psf in 12” – 18” or 24” wide rolls 100' long. The core height is 1/4” or 1/2" (6-12 mm) thick and provides flow capacities ranging from 9 – 21 gpm per foot of width.
