Native choice for fall color

For years Diervilla was used because it was a survivor; now it's chosen because of its ornamental properties as well. Colorful foliage contasts with the bright yellow summer flowers. The foliage color intensifies in fall, making Kodiak® Orange a good alternative to burning bush. Diervilla grows happily in shade, even dry shade, but note that the best flowering and foliage color occurs with more sun.
