Buttonbush has long been prized as a pollinator food source, but it was too big for most landscapes. Sugar Shack® about half the size of the of the species. It also has the added appeal of colorful red fruit and glossy foliage. This PHS Gold Medal Winner is an excellent plant for wildlife gardens and naturalizing on smaller properties. It grows naturally near streams and ponds, and is a good choice for wet sites.
