AMICO Security just completed a BART McArthur station bicycle storage area in Oakland, CA using, for the first time, the Architectural Expanded Mesh (APEX) on a Chameleon framework. The APEX product line offers a unique combination of opaqueness, translucency, texture and structural integrity. AMICO Security has perfected their Expanded Metal manufacturing methods to create this new line of high-quality Expanded Mesh products.

This is the first bicycle storage area of this type for BART. The customer and architects are very pleased with how it looks. AMICO Security’s ability to design unique mesh patterns in combination with engineered fastening systems provides a unique capability to challenging design projects.

The Chameleon system also allows one to retrofit an existing fence system utilizing the existing fence posts. For example Chameleon allows for converting a chain link fence into a high quality fencing system.
