Murrieta Valley in Southern California experiences high temperatures most of the year with summer temperatures often exceeding 100°F. With their original artificial turf fields with crumb rubber infill, the school district was measuring artificial turf surface temperatures over 165oF, rendering the fields unusable. The district has now replaced all three high school fields with Brock PowerBase YSR under turf systems with BrockFILL. Daytime field temperatures have been greatly reduced - up to 45oF in the summer months, providing a healthy and safe playing environment year-round.
