Zion Episcopal Church
Colton, NY, USA

Project Details

Location
Colton, NY, USA

Built in 1883, the Zion Episcopal Church is architecturally significant and a remarkable example of late 19th century ecclesiastical architecture. The design reflects an English parish church inspiration with Victorian Gothic elements. A recent restoration of the church included the installation of an EcoStar roofing system. The nearly 130-year-old slate roof was replaced with Majestic Slate 12'' Traditional and Beveled Edge tiles in Federal Gray, Stone Red and Earth Green to match the original colors on the main and side roofs. The new EcoStar roof looks identical to the original.

Zion was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003 along with its former Rectory, which now serves as the Town of Colton Museum.
