The Facility

Topgolf buildings are truly impressive facilities combining high-tech golf driving ranges with a lively bar and restaurant. The driving ranges are comprised of several individual bays which include a table and chairs as well as a platform from which to tee off. Customers waiting for their turn, enjoy full service from the bar and a comfortable sitting area.

The Heating Challenge

To ensure customers enjoy their experience all year round, Topgolf was looking for a heating solution to keep their customers warm and comfortable in the driving ranges all year round, no matter the Topgolf location (ex. Minnesota, Georgia, or Utah).

Basically, they were looking for heaters that produce different intensities for different climates.

Implementation

Following discussions, IR Energy's ETS infrared heaters were chosen as the most suitable solution for the range bays. Several ETS heaters were fitted and are controlled via localized switches for individual zones, allowing visitors to control the heating in areas only when and where required, reducing unnecessary energy consumption.

IR Energy’s infrared heater’s versatility makes it the perfect choice for heating large areas as it features a thermal expansion mechanism and a superior long-lasting marine grade reflector that enhances the heat distribution. The ETS heater is durable in all weather conditions, making it the ideal heating solution for golf driving ranges, restaurants and other leisure facilities looking to maximize the potential of their outdoor areas all year round.

Results

When IR Energy’s representative visited one Top Golf facility to follow up on how the heaters were performing, our heaters received rave reviews. They were perfect for heating the whole of the range bay area, keeping the players always comfortable year-round when practicing and enjoying time at the range.
