It gives us great pride that our benches are enjoyed by millions of people around the nation, from parks to streetscapes to their own backyards. Kenneth Lynch & Sons has been a manufacturer of outdoor seating since 1927, and we are delighted to create classic and timeless benches that invite people to sit outside and watch the world go by.

Outdoor seating is such an important part of park planning and garden design, creating a welcoming space for communities and individuals to come together. Whether you are a park planner, landscape architect, or a homeowner, incorporating the right style of outdoor seating is essential to complete the outdoor environment. Kenneth Lynch & Sons worked with the New York Parks Department to re-introduce this bench design in 1994 and it can be found in the pastoral areas of Central Park today. Its relaxed design is ideal for vast open spaces and community gathering areas.

This year marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of Frederick Law Olmsted, founder of American landscape architecture and designer of New York City’s Central Park and with many other park systems across the country. Learn more: Kenneth Lynch Benches in America’s Famous Olmsted Parks
