The California Men's Colony (CMC) is a state-run facility in San Luis Obispo, California. With a capacity of just under 4,000, CMC is one of the state's biggest correctional facilities.

With a push on inmate fitness and recreation last year, many California state facilities invested in correctional fitness equipment. Like CMC, most facilities installed equipment in their outdoor recreation yards providing dozens of inmates with the ability to exert energy, reduce stress, and improve their physical and mental health. This facility chose eight Helios-NA Multigyms and scattered them throughout different areas of its expansive outdoor rec yard. Requiring only a small concrete footing, the Helios-NA is both space-efficient and functional, providing over 11 different exercises and four users at once.
