The City of Eagle Point obtained a grant from the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department (OPRD) for the Lucas Park Natural Playground. The playground grant proposed the use of natural colors (earth tones and greens) for the natural looking play equipment and educational equipment to match the aesthetics for the hillside, existing trees, and (now completed) Lucas Park and trail. Playcraft equipment was selected for the Lucas Park Main Playground.
