Back in 2015, New York architect Ali Hcek, principal of ACHA, was looking for a suitable system to combine artificial turf with raised floors of both wood decking and stone slabs for a residential roof terrace in Soho. He found Roofingreen on the internet and realized it was exactly what was needed.
ACHA’s website https://www.hocekarchitecture.com/projects reports:

"This SoHo roof terrace rests on top of a converted loft building with panoramic views of Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens as well as three of the East River bridges. The design was conceived in four outdoor sections – a living room furnished with couches and armchairs, a dining room with seating for twelve under an aluminum pergola with concealed lighting designed by L’Observatoire International, a central green softened with artificial Italian-imported grass, and a downtown-facing pergola covered in Wisteria and romantically coined the “make-out room,” although it also hosts a shower niche used almost exclusively by all the building’s toddlers..."

The raised turf area was created using NATURE M20 DRAIN modules with Roofingreen’s proprietary support feet system. LED footstep lighting points were fitted in the panels.

After seven years of intensive usage, Ali Hocek looked back on the experience with Roofingreen:

"The Roofingreen tiles were a well-suited solution for our raised roof terrace. The tiles are easy to maintain and replace, the turf is always accessible, and integrated floor LED lighting gives it extra dimension. After several years in the variable New York weather, we remained pleased with the turf appearance, resilience and performance. I recommended it to anyone wanting a green roof terrace or deck."
