Dating back to 1663, the Palazzo Valperga Galleanoin the historic city center of Turin, underwent a major renovation project after 2010 led by Gruppo Building (https://building.it). Whilst maintaining the original baroque structure and identity of the building, various elements of modernization were introduced, including the amazing rooftop penthouse. The project, dubbed The Number 6, has been widely acclaimed and in 2015 received the title “Building of the Year” by ArchDaily.

Roofingreen’s turf tile system made a significant contribution to the creation of exceptional outdoor spaces on the roof terraces. In one section, the raised turf surface combines beautifully with adjacent wood decking and stone slabs, and surrounded by pots and plants to create a multi-functional zone characterized by its biophilic design. For a second area, LEAF tiles were used to create a sports and playground surface that combines performance with comfort and safety.
