Andrew Warburton Memorial Park, the park was named in the late 80's to honor Andy. A Hamilton boy who went missing while vacationing in Nova Scotia.

Scope of work:

Safescapes and Oakridge Landscape Contractors were selected to install 5200 square feet of our SafeTop™ PIP Rubber Safety Surfacing. This park incorporated reusing the existing structures and adding in play tunnels. Meeting critical fall height requirements. EPDM Rubber Granules used for the wear layer and SBR dual density impact layer.

The install:

Because PIP Rubber Surfacing can be mixed on site and does not require delivery trucks or the use of a heat process. Since there were many moving parts on this park project, the install was pushed to October just before temperatures were too cold for proper curing.

The result:

To honor Andy Warburton, the Andrew Warburton Memorial Park brings kids and families in from all over the community to help promote interactive play, and safety. SafeTop™ was the perfect surfacing solution for this area.
