Scope of work:

Safescapes was contracted to remove and resurface all grass areas in the internal courtyard of their facility. The organization wanted a maintenance free courtyard that offered safety features for its members. Replacement of gazebo shade structure was included in the scope. Corporate colour scheme was to follow with logo inlays

The install:

This installation began while the snow was still on the ground with landscaping demo and prep for rubber surfacing. Specially ground SBR base was applied to give proper density for mobility chairs moving from concrete path to rubber surfacing. EPDM top coat layer was installed with safety strips around the concrete pathways, then bright sandy colours for low temperature absorption and feel good aesthetics. Shade sail installation was completed with two new posts and wall mounted anchors.

The result:

Members and staff have a safe and maintenance free courtyard. New shaded area and corporate logo section for team meetings.
