Homeowners in Oakville, Ontario, wanted to expand their already stunning yard. They hired International Landscaping Inc. to design and construct a new flagstone patio with an outdoor kitchen and lounge above the pool area.

To complete this project, they reached out to ShadeFX for a solution that would serve a dual purpose - provide reliable shade while complementing the overall contemporary look and feel of the space.

ShadeFX manufactured and installed a 14’ x 10’ freestanding retractable canopy over the outdoor kitchen area. The height of the matte grey two-post structure was increased from 7 ½ ft to 9 ft, clearing the BBQ and oven underneath. A Sunbrella Silver canopy fabric was chosen, matching the modern furniture. The homeowners can fully or partially retract the shade as needed whether they are cooking in the kitchen or relaxing by the bar.
