The Facility

Lowe’s Improvement Centre Barton street facility offers thousands of products covering every area of home improvement.

The Heating Challenge

Entrances, exits, vestibules, and cart storage areas are usually very cold and one of the biggest concerns was to keep customersand cashiers warm and comfortable, as well as to provide a smart solution to melt the snow off the shopping carts.

Implementation

SRP's Canadian Sales Manager, Gary Dummer worked with Ellard Wilson Engineering to design and implement an energy solution that would keep customers and cashiers warm and comfortable at entrances, exits, and vestibules. In addition, to provide an efficient solution to melt the snow off the shopping carts & evaporating the water while conserving energy and reducing energy costs.

Eight SRP Series UA were successfully installed in the following areas:

• Entrances
• Exits
• Vestibules
• Cart storage areas

Results

When SRP’s representative visited Lowe’s Home Improvement store to follow up on how the heaters were performing, he received positive reviews on the efficiency of the heaters and how SRP's heating systems were able to exceed their heating challenges. This resulted in other Lowe’s stores across Canadian stalling SRP heaters the same way.
