Part of a 2015 park expansion, Ft. Worth Zoo received a private donation to create a safari-themed splash park to attract more guests to the zoo. Properly named as Safari Splash, the water play area includes a multilevel structure with 4 slides & lots of spray effects. It’s surrounded by an assortment of themed spray features such as an elephant slide, elephant and lion sprayers, and ground sprays as alligators, snake & turtles. The wide variety of features appeal to multiple age groups and create a fun place for people of all abilities to play. Ticket revenue has been on the rise since the installation of the splash park and continues to be a water play destination for patrons all over Texas.
