Estella Place Shopping Centre
Conveniently integrated with the Estella Heights condominium complex, Estella Place is a five-story (37,000 square metre) eco-friendly retail podium located in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City. Catering to a large and diverse community-base, it offers a host of speciality stores, food and beverage outlets as well as education and enrichment centres.

Design Challenge
Setting the standard for sustainable urbanization, the developers of Estella Place, Keppel Land, the property arm of Keppel Construction looked to incorporate a dry and wet playground space into their forward-thinking family-oriented Shopping Centre. With accessibility and community being the main focus, the new play space would need to be versatile, eco-conscious and suitable for all ages, abilities and play styles.

Solution
Working in collaboration, with our team at Playpoint Asia, a whimsical and vibrant zero-depth play space comes to life, delighting visitors with a spectacular water show. Using a push-button Activator to reduce water consumption, a series of looping aquatic play features in red, orange and yellow, from the Cirque Product Collection captivate curious minds encouraging free, continuous and unstructured collaborative play.
Rotating 120° Ringling water cannons inspire one-on-one water combat, an interactive Boingo, when pushed down, sends the nearest Geyser ground spray soaring high up into the air and crowd favourite, the translucent Aqua-Drop, when filled to its brim, dumps to unleash a refreshing splash!
Thoughtful feature selection of both dry and wet playground elements, combined with wide access paths allow for an easy flow of traffic to and from the play space, putting an emphasis on inclusion for all.

Impact
The splash pad at Estella Place Shopping Centre delivers in creating a dynamic recreational space that perfectly serves its intended audience, resulting in a safe, accessible and creative space where everyone can play, interact and build lasting friendships.
