While constructing the east perimeter wall on this multi-family site the retained embankment began to collapse threatening private property above of the site. As GravityStone was specified retaining wall system the solution was easy; convert the design from an MSE structure into Modular. The photo above and to the left shows the positive impact to excavation depth, while the photo on the right shows the seamless aesthetic between the MSE and Modular structures. GravityStone lateral hybrids are a great solution when site requirements change along the length of an embankment.
