Project Details

Location
Denver, Colorado, USA

Xerxes was the manufacturer of choice for 200,000 gallons of underground diesel fuel storage for a new hospital under construction in the Denver, Colorado area. Xerxes manufactured (4) 12’ diameter 50,000 gallon double wall tanks, each one over 68’ long.

The installing contractor, Platt Rogers Construction out of Lakewood, CO., was involved in the final tank design, burial parameters and tank options for this fueling system that falls under a mission critical level of importance to the overall long term successfulness of the hospital.

Some of the design criteria that helped in making the decision on using Xerxes tanks for this project were the advanced unique proprietary 3 dimensional glass fabric called Parabeam that adds to the structural integrity of the two walls, maintenance free and the integral rib design for a robust vessel that results in a structurally superior product.
