An Ambitious Project That Honored World War II Veterans

This restroom was built to serve a unique Veterans Memorial Park commemorating the sacrifice of veterans from Colorado in World War II. The park has an eye-catching partial replica of a WWII battleship that extends out into Mann-Nyholt Lake. 

The restroom came in five prefabricated sections, assembled on site. The fully assembled building includes a multi-stall men’s room, multi-stall women’s room, and family restroom all under one roof, and sits upon a massive 5000-gallon wastewater vault. This was a very large restroom for not having an available sewer connection. There is no indication to visitors that the restroom is not connected to sewer as it has the normal flush fixtures visitors are used to seeing.

Green Flush worked with Adams County’s architect on the exterior design which featured stained vertical lap siding, a stone wainscot, and clerestory windows. Green Flush also brought an interior designer onboard who created a wide range of designs for the County’s consideration (see renderings below). The architect and the County selected an epoxy floor, wood-looking tile walls, custom sinks, custom lighting, and a wood paneled vaulted ceiling.
