Year: 2018

The Weston Group Centre, also known as Trenerry Square, underwent a significant upgrade in 2018 as part of the ACT Government’s urban renewal initiative, “Better Connections to Better Places.” Redbox Design Group spearheaded this revitalization effort with a focus on enhancing public infrastructure to support active, healthy lifestyles and stimulate economic growth within the community.

As part of this transformation, a selection of Street +Garden’s Drape Metal furniture items, including both backed and backless benches, were strategically incorporated into the redesigned space.

These benches not only provide durable and aesthetically pleasing seating options but also contribute to the overall goal of creating inviting and functional public areas. The Drape Metal series is known for its sleek, modern design, which complements the revitalized environment and encourages community interaction.

This project exemplifies how thoughtful design and high-quality materials can breathe new life into public spaces, fostering community engagement and promoting a vibrant urban landscape.
