About this project:

Cranes Roost Park, located in the heart of Uptown Altamonte in Altamonte Springs, Florida, is a picturesque 45-acre park surrounding Cranes Roost Lake. Known as Central Florida’s premier outdoor event venue, the park features a European-style plaza with charming cobblestone pathways, ionic columns, themed lighting fixtures, and a choreographed fountain show.

In 2016, the City of Altamonte Springs began extensive renovations to elevate the park’s amenities, enhancing its reputation as a key cultural hub. These upgrades included wider walkways, expanded boardwalks, custom stonework railings, and improved lighting.

As part of these enhancements, Haddonstone was commissioned to provide elegant stonework solutions, ensuring the park retained its European-inspired charm while improving safety and durability.

This project builds upon our original supply of stonework several years ago, replacing sections damaged during a storm and introducing new custom elements.

Our solution:

Haddonstone supplied a custom range of stonework to complement and enhance Cranes Roost Park’s European-inspired design.

Key features included a custom balustraded temple complete with a beautifully finished dome, hundreds of feet of balustrade, and custom gate piers with pier caps designed to accommodate light poles. Additionally, we provided stone planters, urns, garden furniture including stone benches and stone tables, and copings for planting areas, all crafted in our durable Haddonstone dry-cast material, and in our classic Portland color, to match the park’s aesthetic and to ensure long-term resilience.

Our products were meticulously designed to blend seamlessly with the park’s architectural elements while delivering robust, high-quality finishes.

Currently in Phase IV of a five-phase project, Cranes Roost Park continues to evolve. With future plans for new water features, planters, and urns, we are proud to remain a trusted partner in bringing this vision to life.
