Pool Area Landscaping Project At Private Residence
Project Details
About this project:
Haddonstone’s team helped to transform a client’s beautiful mature garden by producing high-quality cast stone landscaping components for their stunning outdoor pool area.
Almost all of the landscaping features that were manufactured for the project were produced in Portland colour using our semi-dry cast limestone, ‘Haddonstone’ material. The pool area itself was created using our TecStone wet-cast paving along with bullnosed steps which were used to create the sleek coping effect around the pool’s perimeter.
An elegant garden building was constructed at the top of the pool area using Haddonstone’s cladding, and was complete with architrave, four columns, pilasters, and string course.
Sitting adjacent to the garden building, a striking eight-column plain style pergola with Tuscan capital detail was produced using standard and bespoke cast stone designs. Due to the slopping bank on which the pergola now sits, our team adjusted the height of the columns on one side to ensure perfect aligment within the landscape. Three sets of cast stone bullnosed steps and copings were manufactured for the project and create an elegant walkway beneath the pergola from the lawn up to the pool area.
Garden Building: Classical Temple by Haddonstone
A grand eight-column Haddonstone classical temple was produced for the project to sit opposite the garden building at the other end of the pool.
This elegant garden building included plain style columns with Tuscan capital detail to match the pergola, slightly raised temple flooring and temple dome.
Our client’s pool area was complete with the introduction of complementary Home and Garden ornamental features. These included:
Ornamental features:
Statues – Four seasons statues on Dado pedestals to line the pool side opposite the pergola
Garden seating – Curved and straight stone bench seats with scrolled supports to place along the pool area and to the rear of the temple
Traditional planters – Large Versailles Vases next to the temple and Orleans Bowls infront of the garden building
Finial details – Ham House Pineapples on 27 inch Queen Ann Pedestals to the rear of the garden building.
Each ornamental feature was produced in Portland colour using our semi-dry cast limestone, ‘Haddonstone’ material.
