About this project
By Dave Adams, Fine Landscapes Limited:
“Nestled on a breathtaking 10-acre estate, this idyllic estate is a testament to the artistry and craftsmanship of Fine Landscapes, who have transformed this property into a true landscaping masterpiece.
As one of the Virginia-based company’s most remarkable projects, this estate features two custom-designed structures built by Fine Landscapes: a grand 10,000+ square-foot conservatory with a stunning glass roof and a 1,400 square-foot, fully functional greenhouse. These architectural gems are seamlessly integrated into the property’s natural beauty, connected by winding bluestone and pea gravel pathways, iconic stacked stone walls and stairs, and a custom-designed fountain with elegant travertine inlay”.
“Over the years, we’ve cultivated a diverse collection of mature horticultural specimens including hydrangeas, crape myrtles, elms, ginkgo trees, Italian cypress, holly, boxwoods, and seasonal flowers – each carefully selected to enhance the estate’s beauty. Our expert plantings and meticulously placed lighting combine to bring the landscape to life, adding layers of color and vibrancy to this already awe-inspiring setting”.
Haddonstone's traditional planters:
As part of the project, Haddonstone supplied a selection of elegant cast stone traditional planters to enhance the landscaping around the main house.
The collection included:
- Six Small Tudor Jardinieres
- Six Small Elizabethan Jardinieres
- Four Tudor Jardinieres
- Four Large Gothic Baskets.
Each planter was crafted in Haddonstone’s signature dry cast material and finished in the classic Portland color, ensuring durability and timeless appeal.
These stunning planters were strategically positioned on either side of the flight of steps leading to the main house, creating a harmonious and visually striking entrance.
