About this project:
Roberts’ Stadium Club is an exquisite multi-purpose building featuring condo-style residential suites, retail and commercial office spaces.
Situated on University Avenue in the heart of Midtown, Gainesville, it is positioned within Florida’s most populated university campus, the University of Florida, and is adjacent to Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, and Linder Stadium.
In 2012, Haddonstone was specified by the building’s architect to produce a large volume of cast stone architectural components, as part of the development of this brand-new building.
The custom and standard cast stone designs which were made to order for this project are listed below.
The project was managed by Haddonstone’s USA team, based in Pueblo, Colorado.
Project Solution:
The following bespoke exterior façade cast stone building and construction components manufactured for this project included:
- Balconies to the front and side elevations: cast stone balustrade with under copings, plinth, rail and piers.
- Main entranceway: cast stone smooth columns with Ionic capital detailing and bases, with bespoke engraved building name plaque. Complete with two Haddonstone ‘Leazes Lion’ statues.
- Main doorway: comprising two half column pilasters with Ionic capital detailing and bases, entablature with dentil detailing, and lion wall mask.
- Engraved name plaque.
Each stone design was manufactured using our TecStone (wet-cast limestone) material.
Our client chose Haddonstone’s beautiful Portland color for each component that was produced for the project. The choice of this smart, stylish color meant the stonework contrasted perfectly against the property’s stone-colored rendering.
