The facility features design elements intended to facilitate collaborative learning in a lively and exciting academic environment. The design provides teachers ample work areas separate from the classrooms, which make grading and lesson planning easier. As a key component of this flexable design, a large media center along with a multipurpose room suitable for athletic and school wide events.

Explain the project and its unique use of masonry materials and techniques:
The used of both Structural Brick (Atlas) and CMU creates a low maintenance product for a 75 year plus school. The exterior walls of the school are all load bearing CMU and ATLAS Brick in 5 variations of color. The use of the masonry provides a safe building for students and teachers alike. The Banding of the Atlas brick provide a beautiful modern horizontal look.
