Named the best minor league park in 2018 by Baseball America, BB&T Ballpark packs the stands in Charlotte, N.C., with baseball fans. Home to the Charlotte Knights Minor League Baseball team, fans can enjoy a number of amenities at the ballpark including impressive views of the city skyline from their seats, traditional and contemporary food and drink options, a host of promotions, and much more.

To help cover all the bases and promote a positive fan experience for all guests, including those with sensory needs, beginning in 2019, BB&T Ballpark has special sensory bags available. The bags, sponsored by Schindler, include ear plugs, sunglasses, gloves, a fidget cube, a tactile ball, and a squeeze ball. Available at guest services, the items in the bag are designed to help create a comfortable environment where everyone can enjoy the game.

To further elevate awareness, on Friday, August 16, 2019, Charlotte baseball fans enjoyed an Autism Friendly Day, presented by Schindler, at BB&T Ballpark. During the game, the entertainment elements were altered to provide more inclusive accommodations such as a lowered volume for announcements, music, and special effect sounds, gluten-free menu items, and minimized in-game production on video board displays. Additionally, the Knights provided quiet spaces for fans that needed a break from the crowd.

BB&T Ballpark provides fun for families and baseball fans alike. It also offers event space, a luxury lounge, suites, rooftop and party terraces and a picnic area. Schindler is proud to not only help move fans on the ballpark’s elevators, but also proud to help raise awareness.
