Nestled in the heart of downtown Courtenay, BC, a remarkable outdoor area has been created, offering a versatile and engaging space for both locals and visitors to revel in the city's vibrant culture and history. The intent was to design a dynamic space that would serve as a hub for various activities while immersing visitors in Courtenay's rich heritage.
Collaborating closely with the talented local designer Don Ferguson, Wishbone carefully selected their range of sustainable products, including eco-friendly benches, picnic tables, and planters, all crafted from recycled and sustainable materials. These environmentally conscious choices not only enhanced the aesthetic appeal of the area but also aligned perfectly with the project's vision of fostering a green and responsible community space.
Thanks to the invaluable grant funding of $45,320 from the Island Coastal Economic Trust (ICET) and Tourism Vancouver Island, this vision became a reality, and downtown Courtenay now proudly boasts a captivating outdoor area that invites everyone to celebrate the city's past while embracing a sustainable future.
