Zoom Recreation was hired in order to engineer, manufacture and install a twelve post, eight fabric shade structure. In addition, we installed the pavers and concrete work in the plaza.

The Challenge

This project entailed many challenges from engineering through installation. One of the largest challenges was in manufacturing, specifically, bending that center ring (5", schedule 40) properly so it aligned correctly.

Our Solution

Our manufacturing team tested out the center ring in the production facility, to ensure that the steel ring was properly formed to ensure the installation in the field would work on the first attempt. This risk management measure proved to be effective, allowing for no issues installing this in the field, with the help of our fantastic installation team.

Redefining Sun Shade Solutions

This sail shade installation project required massive metal posts that were up to 25 feet tall! The inner steel columns had a diameter of 8 inches, while the outer columns had a diameter of 10 inches.

Unique Designs For Unique Spaces

To cover the entire courtyard, we used fabric sail shades that were 40 feet and 11 inches in length. The finished shade structure was an impressive 116 feet in diameter!
