Commercial Playground Equipment: We worked with a apartment developer on this project in Santa Ana, to design & install three 3 different commercial playgrounds and 2 dog parks.

The Challenge

The challenge on this commercial playground installation project was completing the project in a phased approach, and getting our scope completed while working around the other trades at the development. We had to ensure that the planters were filled up by the landscapers prior to pouring our final pour of the rubber surfacing, to ensure there would be no dirt or damage done to the finished play surfacing. We had a super tight fit for the 2-12 aged commercial playground equipment, so we had only a 1 inch tolerance to work with in our layout of the playground use zone. We had little-to-no room for error on this.

Our Solution

With some excellent project management and collaboration with the client, we were able to ensure the rubber surfacing was installed last, and prevented any potential for liability to occur on the surfacing from other trades. We also were able to get the playground design to fit perfectly, just barely. It took a lot of tweaking to get the proper fit, but it was accomplished by our experienced playground installers.
