Commercial Shade Structures In Sacramento: Zoom was hired to help design and manufacture 8 Standard Cantilever Shade Structures to provide shade for the baseball stands at Foskett Park in Lincoln, CA

The Challenge

The one challenge that occurred during this project came with underground conduits during the installation phase of the shade structures. Being connected with such a large park and in an area where there are needs for electrical and plumbing, there were quite a few underground electrical and plumbing lines that were found prior to and during the installation of the shades. Several of the conduits were right in line with where the shade structure spread footings were meant to be installed.

Our Solution

Our team connected with the engineer and architect on the Superior Recreational products shade team staff in order to come up with a safe solution which would allow for installing the spread footers and rebar cages without disrupting the underground conduits. We increased the depth of the rebar and wrapped the conduit in a sleeve in order to keep the conduit line free from disruption and allow us to install the shade.
